19 - 26

okay, posting every day should be easy, but alas, it hasn't been, but even if I haven't posted everyday I have taken my pictures everyday.

Jan. 19 -

A trip to WM, yuck!!!! I hate going to the grocery store, but it is a chore that has to be done. Once a week, usually on Mondays, we make the trek. It never amazes me how much money this trip can cost; I wish I had another option than WM for groceries but that is it. The only other place in town is the Pig and I can't stand the odor of the store -- not a good idea to buy food from a place that reeks!

Jan. 20 -

Okay, it might be a little cheesy that I took a picture of the tv and Obama's swearing in, but come on! this is history!! It just amazes me how privileged we are as Americans to have the right to vote; how blessed we are to have a country where the changes of power are peaceful.

Jan. 21 -

OH MY! It is too cold! I don't like being cold and going out to a car whose temperature gauge shows 28 degrees is not the way I like to start my day. These are the days when I want to stay in bed and only get out to grab a cup of coffee and my book and head back to the bed. I need my warmth!!!

Jan. 22 -

How do you eat your M&Ms? I like to eat mine by color. I start with the color that has the least number of them and eat that color first. And so on? yeah, so I am a little strange. I eat all color items the same way -- things like Skittles and Fruit Loops!

Jan. 23 -

We got home from school after stopping off at the hospital to drop Tyler off for an x-ray of his hand and Bryce wanted to ride his bike. He has been begging to be able to ride on the road in front of the house and now that hunting season is over the traffic is non-existent, so as he rode, I walked along with him and took some pictures. I just loved this cluster of pine cones.

Jan. 24 -

Today, I worked on my article critiques for my class this semester; I think I did okay on them, but I always second guess myself until I get the final grade. The topics I picked this time had to do with Oppositional Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorder. With some of our students, these are key problems that need to be dealt with as soon as possible.

Jan. 25 -

We went to the Motor Trend car show and I thought about taking my camera with me, but I really didn't want a picture of the cars. All those cars don't excite me; the new convention center and its architecture was exciting though; I will have to take my camera next time. So, my picture today is of the twins play the Hannah Montana game that Alexis got for Christmas, not sure exactly what they have to do, but the last they updated me, they were headed to Paris, sounds like fun to me!

Jan. 26 -

My desk is a disaster area, yet I can find what I need. I do have a method to my madness, but it is definitely out of control right now and something has to be done. So, I am cleaning!

Days 15, 16, 17, and 18

Nothing like posting a bunch of pictures at one time! I have been taking them every day, but I don't always stop and post and blog. In fact, I was ready to upload yesterday and got sidetracked.

Day 15

Oh my was it cold today!!! I came in from school and started a cup of coffee right off. I do not like the cold; I do not like it at all!!! The coffee helped me warm up, but today was the first of several cold days! Yuck!!!

Day 16

Alexis - in front of the tv - with half of her room pulled out with her. While Bryce is on the computer or playing PS2, she is here or with a book.

Day 17

A trip to Target last night before I went cropping and I walked out with these shirts. Bryce has been asking for this Bakugan shirt for weeks now and every time we have been in the store they have been sold out, well last night, they had it in stock, so I grabbed it and then went in search of a shirt for Alexis to go with it. A Hannah Montana shirt was perfect for her and they both were treated to a Saturday morning treat!

Day 18 -

Sunday again, yesterday Scott ran by WM to pick up a new showerhead; the other one broke; of course, it was about ten years old so no big deal there, and this is what he came home with. Definitely inexpensive, I think he said that he spent about 6.00 on it, but WOW! Do I love it!!!! It has a massaging feature and the water pressure through it is wonderful!

Day 13 and 14

Been a little busy, but I am still taking my pictures.

Day 13 -

This is my sanity center; here is where I put up all the information that I think I will need; there is the information about pre-registration, the list of my phone tree for school, doctor appointments, and more stuff from school -- and a few cute pictures to top it all off.

Day 14

Busy day today; I left school around 10:45/50 and headed with Rita to WCCS -- almost two hours away for a meeting, then had to come home. Right when I was getting home, I was greeted by this shot. Usually at sunset, we are busy doing something, but today I got to appreciate it.

Day 11 and 12

My picture for Sunday is one that I took late at night; I had taken several earlier in the day, but this is the one I picked. Alexis in our bed watching tv. It was a lazy Sunday spent watching movies, watching football, and reading. A great relaxing day!

Day 12 and my picture is one of the sunrise; I went outside to crank up the car this morning since it was 28 degrees and I didn't want to have to sit in a cold car on the way to work. I walked into the backyard to knock off the ice from the dogs' water bowl and took just a brief moment to enjoy the sunrise.

Day 10

The Bakugan craze has hit my house! Of course, Bryce still loves his Pokemon, but these little creatures are the newest obsession. Every time we go to a store, we are in search of different ones. Do I know what they do? Not in the slightest, but he does and that is all that matters.

Day 9

It's here! My Project 365 Kit came today; I got home from work just five minutes before the UPS guy pulled into the driveway. I have opened it and started looking at all my goodies! Now, I just need to upload my pictures and get them printed, so I can do my first layout!

Day 8

Bryce's supper! What is so fantastic about this picture? Bryce ate a hamburger, or at least part of a hamburger. For most kids hamburgers are a staple of their lives; Bryce usually lives on a diet of chicken nuggets and French fries. Even some days that is all he eats, but tonight, Scott told him that he needed to at least try the burger so I wouldn't have to cook him something different and

He likes it! He really likes it!!

I am sure that burgers won't become his staple now, but it is nice to add some variety into his diet.

Day 7 - Homework

LOL! I thought it would be good to have a picture of the kids' doing homework since it was the first day back after Christmas break. I was trying to just snap an action shot, but I ended up capturing this priceless look on Bryce's face. Alexis looks so studious in the pictures, while Bryce looks like he would rather be doing anything else, and yet, he did so much better on his homework tonight than she did. Subtraction was not nice tonight.

Day 6

Red socks -- yes, my picture today is of my red socks. Such a simple little thing, but the kids noticed when I went to put them on that the last couple of times when we went somewhere I put on my red socks. I love my red socks; no, they are not cool. Yes, I do realize that colored socks are out of style (one of my dear students related that to me one day), but I must admit I have had these socks for years, even longer than I have had my kids or my students. So, I will wear my red socks because I like them, and I am probably still a little bit too young to don the red hat, but "When I am Old, I Shall Wear Red."

Day 1 - 5

So, I decided to do the 365 Challenge -- no big deal, but I told myself that I wasn't going to have a blog for it. And here it is day 5, and I have changed my mind! LOL! It is a woman's prerogative to do that!

Day 1 - My newest obsession --- cream cheese with raspberry chipotle sauce - yummy! This is the end of the bottle which is probably a good thing, but it is also a bad thing! Good because this is going to be a new year for me with my eating choices and this stuff can be lethal to my diet. Bad because I LOVE it so much!

Day 2 - Super Monkey Ball has become one of the crazes of our house; almost a day doesn't go by without one of us, or even all four of us playing. I am glad that Bryce wanted this for Christmas; we have all enjoyed playing!

Day 3 - I needed a little hope today, and there was it was. A lot of things have been on my mind because of the economy, Scott's job, lack of sales, Jim's health, my choices of going to school, should I continue or stop, and the list goes on. But today, for a few brief minutes I remember to have hope.

Day 4 - Cookies - not a good way to get started on my new me, but I baked Chocolate Crackles today (Missi's recipe!). I got my feelings hurt and baked to avoid the tears. I had planned to make these for Christmas but never got around to it, so they became New Years' cookies.

Day 5 - Definitely a purchase that we didn't have to have today, but a purchase that will enable all four of us to play on the PS2 together. Four people - four controllers: I can see many days ahead spent in laughter and maybe even a little in anger (depends on who wins), but the main thing is that they can help us spend some time together as a family.
